Elementary Age-7 Elements of Art

Wednesdays

4:00-5:30

Ages 6-12 This class introduces children to the 7 elements of art: line, shape, color, value, texture, form, and space. Each week we’ll focus on one element with a short lesson on the element followed by an art project that reinforces their understanding. Perfect for children who enjoy creating—no experience necessary. Homeschooling? This class meets the requirement for an art credit! This class is ongoing—sign up at anytime!

Toddler Process Art (child +parent)

TBD

Ages 3-5 Here children are provided interesting (and safe!) art supplies and simple directions. Parents help guide their child as they explore and create. Process art emphasizes the act of creating over a final product. This approach fosters cognitive, emotional, and fine motor development, allowing children to make independent choices, take risks, and express feelings without fear of failure. And the best part? We clean up the mess afterward.

Adult Intro to Watercolor

TBD

Creative Wellness for Adults

TBD

Ever wanted to watercolor but don’t know how? This Introduction to Watercolor class covers the fundamentals: choosing and caring for brushes, understanding watercolor paints and paper, basic color mixing and washes, and essential brush techniques for washes, layering, and texture. Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and hands-on practice, students learn how to plan a simple composition, solve common problems, and build confidence with supportive feedback—mistakes are treated as part of the process as you develop your own watercolor voice.

Creative Wellness for Adults is a welcoming space where you can slow down, breathe, and rediscover your creative voice. In this class, we use simple materials like paint, clay, and collage as tools for self-discovery and stress relief. There is no pressure to be "good at art"—the focus is entirely on the joy of creating and what the process reveals to you about your own inner world. It’s a gentle, supportive environment designed to help you quiet the noise of daily life, express your feelings without needing words, and find a sense of calm and playfulness in your week.
